018 Jamie Cullum “I’m all over it”

You just landed on Mars. Get out of the spaceship and go past your robot, who is sunning and reading, not looking up. Forget your towel. Stopping for the towel means talking and talking means thinking. You have decided being scared is caused mostly by thinking. Go right by, toward the crater at the north end. Over the crater is a great iron tower of dirty white. A board protrudes from the top of the tower like a tongue. The ground beneath your heavy boots is red, hot and rough. Each of your footprints is thinner and fainter. Each shrinks behind you on the hot red stone and disappears. Still you’re all over it now.
